I asked my daughter this question. She said it was not a course in college (she's finishing her Sophomore year), but as a Jr in HS - her AP Language course with Mr. Carpenter at Golden High School.

She said, "He pushed me to involve critical thinking in my daily conversations and relationships, and assured me it was OK." He picked current books and NY Times articles that had come out recently and broke students into groups of 4-5 people. He taught us how to critically think and challenge our assumptions which pushed us to have deeper conversations.... that would feel like an adventure.

Well... all I have to say is... "Thank you Mr. Carpenter. May your tribe increase."
