At first glance Omar Little a Black, Gay, (drug) stash stick up artist from W Baltimore projects has little in common with myself. I think what made Omar as a character truly hypnotizing was his insightfulness into what he was, what his options were and then how he didn't just accept fate but made a truly riveting dance out of the bedlam.

I think for myself its good to realize you may not have the most ideal option available, in fact its quite rare to have everything you need at just the right time. In all actuality there are going to be many situations in life both serious and trivial where none of the options are great, or good or maybe even acceptable but you still have to do something...

In a bad situation I don't think I've ever asked what would Jesus do, I have on many occasions in business and personal life asked what would Omar Little do. That Omar is my mental embodiment of Teddy Roosevelt's, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are", well that just makes me smile thinking about linking those two together as well.
