I'd had a friend who invited me to lunch about 5 years ago, when I was first starting RellaFit (and SPARCs for Good) who said, "I need to tell you... when we talk. You never ask about what's up with me. You only talk about RellaFit. It makes me feel like you don't really care about me."

That was really hard to hear at the time, but now I get it. Even though I want to share "my work" with everyone who is close to me, they don't necessarily want to hear it, or play my game. Even though my game is about getting to know each other better... many of those close to me don't care.

I'm still trying to learn this lesson. I am on the edge of sharing this with the world... and letting my friends and family just be my friends and family... whether they want to play my game together or not. Hard words, hard lesson, but very valuable.
