For long period of my life, I would job hop every 2-3 years. I always 'found' a reason that the people I worked with were the reason I should leave or that I wasn't paid enough for, what I was dealing with or the 'value' I brought to the company. I would start down a path of blaming everything and everyone and look for a new job. I'd change jobs, just to start all over, for maybe a dollar or two more in pay.

Once I realized the constant in all those years and situations was ME, not the job duties or people, my perspective changed and I started looking inward and asking myself how the emotions I would feel were about ME, not the job or people. As I started to take more personal responsibility and accountability for my own actions and choices, I gained exponential amounts of physical, emotional and mental freedom not previously found via my 'replacement method'.

I've now been working for the same company for over 8 years and have built amazing relationships with the owners and other employees. Through my lessons learned and daily application of them, our company has built a culture of accountability with no judgement and safety in being vulnerable with each other. This culture has contributed to the exponential growth of the company and a retention rate of employees and clients that is in the 90% range. I feel extremely honored and blessed to have the opportunity to learn and grow with such an aware and supportive family.
