The present is pregnant. There is so much in every moment that it is impossible to hold and if I shift into savoring instead, I open another layer of richness which I’m better suited to take in instead of a pile of fragments. I lost myself in the little resiliences that I knew about in the people around me and I looked to their faces and hands to see signs of these things which shaped them. I wondered how many little pleasures allowed their bodies to be nourished and sustained and filled with enough desires to keep forging ahead. There is so much beauty in a moment and I could get a little excited about choosing between all the different beauties that currently surround me.
