This is us reminds me not just of me but of my family dynamic. I have two sons and a daughter. My husband passed away suddenly and my kids were teens who had to deal with that. I remarried and they were not thrilled. my two sons one is very responsible and feels like he as to take care of the world, my other son was a troubled soul like Kevin and had addictions as well. He has finally grown up and over come his demons. My daughter is the least like the show's character but she has struggled to find out who she is in a lot of ways and so That family dynamic is very much like mine. I feel like I am a lot like Rebecca trying to be a good mom and help my kids with their lives. Struggling to over come the loss of a soulmate and father of my children. Happily married to another but still having that person always in the back of my mind. I watch that show and cry alot, It makes me happy and sad because it really hits home
